Sensi Charlery, B.B.A. Accounting ’19, has always been a numbers person. As a teenager in St. Lucia, she took accounting classes and got As on all of her work. Using that skill, Sensi has found her path to success at Robinson, deciding to focus on the consulting side of the accounting industry.
Sensi fell in love with Atlanta at first sight. She arrived in 2013 from St. Lucia and knew she wanted to pursue her education here.
“I told myself in the car on the very first night that I wanted to go to school in the city,” she said.
She chose Georgia State for its diverse student body and soon discovered all the resources at the school. She joined the Caribbean Students Association, became a member of Robinson’s Honors Program, and participated in WomenLead.
After Women Lead ended, Sensi helped start the WomenLead Student Organization to maintain the community they found in the program, and to continue to facilitate their personal and professional growth.
Her hard work and passion has paid off. After the Leadership Conference in July, Sensi was offered an internship as a summer analyst with Deloitte. Earlier in her college career, Sensi admitted, she would not have had the confidence to apply for a position at a Big 4 firm.
She has her sights set on higher goals and wants to build from her internship experience to seek a full time offer after she graduates.
