Doctor of Business Administration
About
The Executive Doctorate in Business program advances effective organizational leadership by developing the knowledge and expertise executives need to identify, understand and successfully tackle the high-level issues that characterize global business management today.
Program participants take a hands-on approach by leading class discussions, working in four-person project teams, and choosing a dissertation topic that is relevant to their industry. Faculty mentors guide the project teams through their presentations and projects, and work individually with students on their dissertations.
The curriculum initially emphasizes research methodology coursework, and shifts toward content coursework and project labs as the program progresses.
Teaching Certificate
The Executive Doctorate in Business Teaching Certificate is designed not only to help those who have little or no teaching experience at the university level but also to improve the skills of those who have taught. The course presents empirical-based research on how to improve student learning and student evaluation of instructors. The course maximizes student involvement through integrating lectures and hands-on exercises.
