STACKABLE GRADUATE CERTIFICATES
Our world of continuous change and unanticipated disruption offers boundless opportunities for re-invention and creative ways of looking at complex problems. Access to progressive knowledge and novel insights is not enough to succeed in this landscape. You also must possess the skills and confidence to step to the forefront—to take the lead and make it happen.
Test Scores
A GMAT or GRE score is not required. International students should visit the International Applicants page to review language exam requirements.
College Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts may be submitted at the time of application.
One official copy of the transcript of all college work is required from each previously attended institution if you are subsequently offered admission.
Each transcript must be closed with the institution’s official seal across the flap. If an institution’s policies do not permit sending official transcripts to applicants for use with self-managed applications, the transcripts may be sent directly to the Office of Admissions – Graduate Programs at the below address.
The eSCRIP-SAFE System
Electronic transcripts from eSCRIP-SAFE are acceptable if your institution is listed as a “sender” (not receiver) of transcripts. “Sender” must be selected for the member type. If a school does not utilize eSCRIP, we will accept official transcripts electronically as long as they are sent by the institution directly to our email address:

Personal Statement
The personal statement provides an opportunity for applicants to present themselves to the Certificate Admissions Committee and to highlight qualities relevant to success in a graduate business program that may not be evident in test scores and past academic performance.
In a single essay, no more than 750 words in length, please explain why the Robinson College of Business, and the particular certificate to which you are applying, is best for helping you achieve your short- and long-term career goals. You should also address why you believe you would be a good fit for the Robinson College of Business and the certificate program.
Optional Essay
If you have additional information, or if there are extenuating circumstances you would like to share with the Admissions Committee (i.e. academic performance issues or areas of weakness in the application), please share in 250 words or less.
Application Deadline
The Robinson College of Business reviews applications on a rolling basis, and will continue to accept certificate applications until December 1. We encourage you to apply as early as possible.
Reshape Your Future
At Robinson, we have a well-steeped history in helping students change how they see the world, enabling them to not only visualize their future but also act on their dreams. In addition to graduate degrees, we now offer three stackable graduate certificates in Artificial Intelligence Business Innovation, Disruptive Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Fintech Innovation.
The skills gained from our certificate programs quench the needs in current and emerging market demands. How do we know? Because we designed them in consultation with executives from Fortune-class companies including Anthem, AT&T, The Coca-Cola Company, The Home Depot, NCR, and VMware, just to name a few. We also kept you, the student, at the center. Our certificates require less commitment than full-blown master’s programs, in terms of both money and time. The convenience doesn’t stop there. Credits from your coursework can be applied toward our MBA program as well as other select master’s degrees—if that makes sense, considering your unique situation and goals.
Leverage the Known and Unknown
But what truly sets us apart is our Innovation Studios, which provides an experiential environment for students to network and collaborate. As part of interdisciplinary teams, students test prototypes, design compelling and competitive value propositions, and pitch to prospective customers and investors. They also develop critical soft skills like emotional intelligence, communication, and social influence/trust. Via a collision of perspectives and concepts, students become comfortable with ambiguity and experimentation, and build the courage to explore and leverage the known—and unknown—technologies that are profoundly impacting our world.
Yes, Actually, You Can

Kennedy Crandell
You might think you don’t have it in you — the experience you need to succeed in a field requiring creativity and technical chops. But our graduate certificates make it possible for you to reskill yourself, quickly and affordably. No matter your background, we’ll give you support and tools that will set you up to thrive.
Kennedy Crandell is a perfect example. She left the social work industry to pursue a career in data science, enrolling in our Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence Business Innovation. Despite having no previous programming experience, she picked up skills in Python, predictive models, and linear regression within her first semester. She also built the prototype for an app to connect artists and entertainers with employment opportunities.
“The instructor has done a great job of making sure no one gets left behind,” Crandell said. “At first I had no idea how I was going to go about developing a prototype, but after I made the first one, I thought, ‘Wow, this is attainable.’”
Crandell did it, and you can do it. We’re here to help.

New tools and packages are rapidly democratizing the field of data science, giving rise to the role of “citizen data scientists”—professionals who may not have deep programming skills but, with the right tools, are capable of leveraging advanced technologies as well as working with and leading teams of data scientists to create value and realize the potential of artificial intelligence. A recent Gartner study projects the number of citizen data scientists will grow five times faster than the number of expert data scientists in the next few years.
The Artificial Intelligence Innovation Certificate program is designed with the citizen data scientist in mind. Students examine AI-related concepts that lead to discovery of innovative solutions to business challenges. Key topics include data programming, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
