Student teams work together and use their collective knowledge to solve a problem for a company, similar to how a consulting firm would address an issue that a client either can’t figure out or doesn’t have the time or resources to handle. Students interact with company leaders and entrepreneurs as colleagues, not superiors or instructors.
Connect the dots
Seasoned industry professionals serve as guest presenters and discuss their firms’ past consulting projects, as well as other aspects of their project management and industry experience.
Guidance to success
In order to properly prepare students, PACE instructors guide them through project management basics and public speaking training. Plus, instructors are available for coaching throughout the course, and student teams practice by delivering two, 30-minute mock presentations before they present their recommendations to the client.
Students work on diverse business issues with a wide range of companies.
A few past partners include:
- American Fueling Systems
- Georgia Food Bank Association
- Purchasing Power
- Shaw Industries
- Souper Jenny
