ROBINSON EVENTS
Create Memorable Event Experiences

We run popular events the Robinson community looks forward to year after year: from Honors Day, a celebration of the college's highest-achieving students; to the Alumni Awards, an opportunity to recognize our graduates who have made an impact in business and society; to recruiting events that give prospective students a taste of the Robinson experience. We can provide high-level guidance to your unit on how to infuse the Robinson touch into your upcoming event.

VIRTUAL EVENT PLATFORMS
WebEx Meetings
WebEx Events should be used to host virtual events for which large numbers of attendees are expected and control of the dialogue is important (only the presenters can be seen and heard by default). Registration tools not available through Webex Meetings are also offered.
Cost: Free
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams should be used for simple meetings for which most participants are already on the Teams platform.
Cost: Free
Vimeo Livestream
Vimeo Livestream should be used to host virtual events for which broadcasting to a large audience via a website is needed and minimal interaction between the audience and the presenters is required. Examples include town halls and distinguished lectures open to the public.
Hopin
Hopin should be used to host virtual events that cannot be effectively conducted with Webex Meetings, Webex Events, or Vimeo Livestream. This typically includes concurrent sessions in which attendees go back and forth between said sessions, expositions in which multiple booths are visited casually, and events in which one-on-one networking with groups is required.

Website Event Management
Localist is the event software Georgia State uses to list upcoming events on the university's network of sites. Since the system is dynamic, events automatically roll off once they occur. Because this is a self-serve, account-based system, you can assign someone from your unit to handle posting upcoming events on Localist, and tagging them to populate on your site. To add a Localist user from your team, please email [email protected].
