Master of Science in Health Administration
Since 1961, we have helped current and future healthcare administrators broaden their experience and knowledge, as well as improve their strategic and executive approach to the healthcare industry.
The cohort model allows students to learn from one another and create long-lasting relationships that can become important professional connections. Students hail from a variety of backgrounds, and many already work at companies such as Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Emory Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, and Northside Hospital.
Along with the curriculum, experiential learning opportunities are a crucial component of the program. Through a variety of activities, students expand their networks and develop industry connections.
Students can participate in national case competitions against other universities; go on site visits to leading organizations like Grady Health System, WellStar Health System, and Emory Healthcare; and participate in student organizations like Women in Healthcare Leadership, Future Healthcare Executives and the national honors fraternity in healthcare administration, Upsilon Phi Delta. Students also work on philanthropy projects with groups like MedShare and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Future Healthcare Executives
Future Healthcare Executives (FHE) is an organization that enhances the M.S. in Health Administration experience through networking events and experiential learning opportunities. Through FHE’s guest speaker series, students directly interact with healthcare professionals and executives, and industry site visits allow students to learn how companies are impacting the healthcare field. Students also learn about job openings, professional development and mentoring opportunities.
