Master of Science in Marketing
Marketing is a dynamic, applied field that is fundamental to all business, no matter the industry.
There was a time when marketing was considered an art, but with the increase of quantitative analysis, big data, digital media, and social and mobile marketing, it is becoming just as much of a science. Our curriculum brings all of these aspects and more into the classroom. Students work closely together to solve real-world business issues.
Experience in various aspects of business, such as finance, management, IT, analytics, and accounting complement a degree in marketing. Marketing doesn’t function in silos, and works best when integrated into other aspects of an organization.
Our program is relevant for marketing professionals who want to update and expand their knowledge, managers who oversee marketing activities but lack formal training, and those interested in switching to a marketing-based career.
Research Centers, Roundtables, and Alumni Connections
Marketing students gain an immense amount of experience and industry connections by taking advantage of the research centers the Department of Marketing houses, along with the roundtables the departments hosts.
The Center for Excellence in Brand & Customer Management
V. Kumar, one of the top marketers in the world, runs the Center for Excellence in Brand & Customer Management, which enables interaction between faculty, scholars, students and industry to enhance research opportunities, academic excellence, real-world problem-solving, and knowledge creation and dissemination.
The Marketing RoundTable brings together the top marketing officers of the two dozen largest firms based in the Atlanta area. The roundtable facilitates professional development by giving these key decision-makers the opportunity to network and keep abreast of the latest developments in the field.
