Application Process
Applications for the EMBA class beginning in fall 2021 are now being accepted. Applications are reviewed and processed as they are received.
Priority Application Deadline: April 2, 2021
General Application Deadline: August 22, 2021
Steps To Apply
Complete the online application and pay the $100 application fee.
Applications ask for basic biographical and educational data. They also contain short questions. These questions are your opportunity to highlight qualities that are relevant to success in a graduate business program but may not be reflected in test scores and past academic records. It is important to answer all questions thoroughly and thoughtfully, as the application is your means of informing us about yourself.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling admissions basis and are accepted until the cohort is full or classes begin.
Once your application is received it will be reviewed and you will be contacted if you are chosen for a personal interview. Please note that you do not have to fully complete the application in order to start the process. To be considered for a personal interview simply fill out the biographical information, upload your resume, and click submit. You will be able to add transcripts and remaining required documents after clicking submit.
The EMBA admissions committee understands there are many ways an applicant can demonstrate their readiness for graduate study. Consequently, applications are reviewed through a holistic lens. A GMAT or a GRE score may not be required, though if you feel the inclusion of a score would strengthen your application by demonstrating your preparation for graduate work, you are welcome to provide one. For those applicants who have not completed a four-year bachelor's degree, a GMAT or GRE score will be a required part of the application process. If you have questions, contact Melody Paris.
Applicants who are required to take the GMAT exam should submit those scores to the Robinson College of Business Executive MBA program.
The GMAT test code is QCK-ZW-44.
One official copy of the transcript of all college work is required from each institution previously attended. We will accept official transcripts electronically as long as they are sent by the institution directly to mparis@gsu.edu. Please note that you can submit the EMBA application without transcripts or with an unofficial copies that you upload. However, you will be required to submit official copies prior to a final admission decision being rendered.
If your institution doesn’t send the transcripts electronically each transcript must be mailed in an envelope from the institution closed with the institution’s official seal. Transcripts should be forwarded to:

The personal statement provides an opportunity for applicants to present themselves to the Master’s Admissions Committee and to highlight qualities relevant to success in a graduate business program that may not be evident in test scores and past academic performance.
Required Essay
In a single essay, no more than 750 words in length, please explain why the Robinson College of Business, and the particular program to which you are applying, is best for helping you achieve your short-term and long-term career goals. You should also address reasons why you believe you would be good fit for the Robinson College of Business and the program to which you are applying.
All applicants must submit an updated résumé. While work experience is not required, it is preferred.
A personal interview is required of all EMBA applicants. Once the EMBA application has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the admissions committee. If an applicant is selected for a personal interview, a representative from the EMBA office will contact him or her to set up a date and time. Currently, all interviews are being scheduled via Zoom. For out-of-state applicants, interviews by phone are acceptable.
You will be required to provide three professional references in the online EMBA application. A short survey requesting feedback about you will be sent by email to your references. We do not require reference letters. However, if you feel a reference letter will strengthen your application you are welcome to email a copy to Melody Paris at mparis@gsu.edu.
