Artificial Intelligence Business Innovation
New tools and packages are rapidly democratizing the field of data science, giving rise to the role of “citizen data scientists”—professionals who may not have deep programming skills but, with the right tools, are capable of leveraging advanced technologies as well as working with and leading teams of data scientists to create value and realize the potential of artificial intelligence. A recent Gartner study projects the number of citizen data scientists will grow five times faster than the number of expert data scientists in the next few years.
This certificate is designed with the citizen data scientist in mind. You will examine artificial intelligence-related concepts that lead to discovery of innovative solutions to business challenges. Key topics include data programming, machine learning and predictive analytics.

The MBA with a concentration in finance prepares students to become leaders in the corporate finance, financial services, and asset and wealth management industries. The program of study provides students with the decision-making, analytical and technical skills required for success in today’s financial environment.
To complete an MBA concentration in finance, 12 additional semester hours of 8000-level finance courses are required beyond MBA 8135. FI 8070 - Leading the Finance Function may be taken as a free elective but does not count toward a finance concentration.

Risk Management and Insurance
The curriculum for an MBA concentration in risk management and insurance can comprise any 8000-level RMI-prefixed courses.
In addition to the general concentration described above, the department participates in a hybrid degree program that leads to a specialization in financial risk management. Students completing the financial risk management specialization will earn a dual concentration in risk management and insurance as well as finance. The specialization prepares students to work in the treasury departments of non-financial firms or as professionals in the financial risk management departments in financial institutions or consultancies.
