B.A., University of DaytonAshok Vairavan has 25 years of practitioner experience working for Fortune 1000 and start-up companies in senior roles, including Dun & Bradstreet, Ryla Teleservices, Deloitte Consulting and Chime Solutions. He has held senior-level cross-functional positions in client strategy, operations, business development and marketing. Vairavan taught as an instructor at Kennesaw State University Coles College of Business before earning his doctorate in business administration at Georgia State. Ashok has also served as the Executive-on-Loan at Wilberforce University, the nation’s first private HBCU institution, where he provided thought leadership and strategic program development for the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
In addition to his limited-term faculty position with Georgia State, Vairavan is currently the Managing Partner with Chime Solutions, an outsourcing firm in Morrow, GA, where he is responsible for leading Business Development and Client Strategy. He published his first academic paper with his doctoral advisor, Peter Zhang, “Does a diverse board matter? A mediation analysis of board racial diversity and firm performance” in the Journal of Corporate Governance. In addition to his DBA, he earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton and a master’s in business administration from Kennesaw State University.
