- Biography
Mr. Potts teaches introductory managerial and financial accounting courses as well as masters-level managerial accounting and internal auditing courses. His enthusiasm for teaching shines through in his lectures and exemplifies his commitment to the accounting profession to student learning. He serves as the faculty advisor for Beta Alpha Psi, the premiere accounting, finance, and information systems student organization within the Robinson College of Business. Mr. Potts also serves as the faculty coordinator for the IAEP (Internal Audit Education Partnership) Program, which prepares students with the skills and knowledge to help them conduct basic internal audits immediately upon hire, as well as provide a foundation to begin preparing for the CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) examination.
His professional experience of over twenty years includes positions in public accounting (audit), private accounting management, internal auditing, operational management, and entrepreneurship. Mr. Potts is a licensed CPA, CGMA, and CIA.
