Chris Campagna grew up in Connecticut and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond, an MBA from the College of William & Mary and a doctoral degree from Georgia State. After an extensive practical career, including 15 years as a vice president of marketing, he joined Georgia State's Ph.D. program in 2017. Campagna has a passion for research, as it allows him to combine his practical influential and theoretical skills to unearth, contemporary findings that are relevant to today’s consumers, with also having strong managerial and academic implications. He has two published papers and a pipeline of research focusing on driving brand authenticity and consumer brand engagement.
His love for teaching continued during his time as a Ph.D. student, as he taught five undergraduate and graduate-level courses each year in the program. In 2020, Campagna was the first Ph.D. student at Georgia State approved to teach a master's level marketing course. Chris is active in service, including mentoring incoming students, and is thrilled to join the marketing faculty as a visiting instructor. He has a wonderful wife Katharine, two daughters and a son. He soon will begin coaching his 3-year-old son's soccer team and is looking forward to the adventure!
