Dr. Mathiassen is Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar, Professor in the Department of Computer Information Systems, and co-founder of the Center for Digital Innovation. Prior to coming to GSU he was professor at Aalborg University, Denmark. He has had visiting positions at Institute Theseus, France, Warwick Business School, UK, London School of Economics, UK, and Viktoria Institute, Sweden. He holds honorary doctorates at Copenhagen University, Denmark, and Umeå University, Sweden, and he is on the editorial board of several international journals.
