B.A., Wesleyan UniversityMarian Higgins is the inaugural associate dean for culture, equity, and inclusion at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Higgins comes from the University of Georgia, where she was associate dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the Mary Frances Early College of Education. In that role, she developed a strategic plan for diversity and inclusive excellence while leading a 30-person committee with representation from units across the college. She created and published the college’s inaugural DEI progress report, oversaw and managed the DEI graduate certificate program, managed the Graduate Students of Color Mentoring Program, and was co-leader of the Holmes Scholars Program for doctoral students. She holds a doctorate in counseling and student personnel services from the University of Georgia.
