B.S., mathematics, Bilkent UniversityMehmet Aktas is a clinical assistant professor at the Institute for Insight at Georgia State University Robinson College of Business. Before joining Georgia State, he was an assistant professor and John T. Beresford Endowed Chair in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Central Oklahoma. His research is on topological data analysis (TDA) applications in network science. Particularly, he is interested in using TDA in applications in social, biological, and business networks. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Mathematics from Bilkent University.
