B.S., journalism, Northwestern UniversityNecole Merritt is a veteran strategic communications, marketing and business leader who has worked across multiple industries and Fortune 500 companies including in the automotive, telecommunications, cable, academic healthcare, energy and non-profit sectors. She has also served as a mentor for the ATDC, Georgia's technology business incubator.
Throughout her career, Necole has been part of a number of disruptive technologies and product innovations including Saturn automobiles, GM’s electric vehicle, the early stages of BellSouth’s Internet service, over-the-top video, solar energy and most recently the development of an over the counter COVID test. She has worked with senior leaders to help build brand reputations, solve complex business issues leveraging communications and engage key stakeholders and audiences.
Necole brings nearly a decade of teaching in higher education including as an adjunct instructor at Gwinnett Technical College, Kennesaw State University, the former Georgia Perimeter College and Georgia State University.
She is a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, and a holds a master's degree from California State University Northridge. She is a native of Detroit, and has lived in six cities across the country.
She is engaged in the Atlanta community through her membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and The Links, Incorporated.
