Shelia H Palmer is a highly experienced and accomplished health systems administrator and educator. Palmer has extensive experience in patient care, program development, and performance improvement. Palmer is skilled in applying analytics and data driven solutions to coach and facilitate healthcare teams through organizational change.
Palmer now brings her expertise to the Institute of Health Administration at Georgia State University to mentor and coach students to be successful healthcare professionals.
Palmer used her expertise in primary care medicine and program development to establish a postgraduate residency training program for physician assistants in primary care with the Atlanta VA Health Care System. She has a strong background in family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics while working in a variety of clinical and administrative healthcare settings throughout her career.
