Ugur Kursuncu is an Assistant Professor in the Institute for Insight at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Institute, University of South Carolina. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Georgia. His research is at the intersection of humans, society, businesses and computers, designing socially responsible human-centered intelligent systems by integrating knowledge to significantly enhance contemporary AI and data science methods. His work investigates approaches for effective measurement, intervention, and decision-making, to address challenging problems in society, health, politics, business and education, including social, racial, and economic inequality.
