During Georgia State’s response to COVID-19, the Student Experience Team will continue to provide support to students. We are aware this is a difficult time and want to be a resource to help you successfully navigate learning from a distance. As a team, we are available via phone, email, WebEx, Zoom, and Skype. While many programs are holding weekly video conference check-ins, you are encouraged to reach out directly to your student experience professional for any additional guidance or support needed. You can also join the RCB Student Experience Facebook group for updates and information.

Student Support
As a Robinson student, you are equipped with a full support team to help you throughout your graduate program. From picking the right classes, to finding industry events, to interview prep, these are the staff members eager to help you in achieving your professional and academic goals.
Student Experience: Serving as a liaison between you and Georgia State, your student experience professional will provide guidance and support throughout your academic career. In addition to being the first point of contact for current students, this team creates extra and co-curricular programming, and connects students with industry events.
Graduate Academic Advisement: Your academic advisor can help you make the right decisions in selecting courses toward earning your degree. Your advisor can assist you in building your academic schedule, help you complete required forms, and point you toward the resources you’ll need to get where you want to go.
Career Advancement Center - The Career Advancement Center can help you reach your goals through career fairs, A.I.-driven resume reviews, an online job portal, networking opportunities, workshops, and other opportunities.

Student Experience Staff
Assistant Director of Graduate Student Experience
Jermaine is an assistant director of graduate student experience, working specifically with the health administration, hospitality, and management programs. In this role, he establishes strategic initiatives and direction for the Office of Graduate Recruitment and Student Services in the leadership, management and coordination of program initiatives. Jermaine joined Robinson as an academic advisor, working closely with graduate students since 2015. Prior to his time at Georgia State University, Jermaine worked with corporations such as ING Direct and PNC Global Investment Servicing. He received his B.B.A. in business management and MBA from Delaware State University. In his free time, Jermaine enjoys traveling, whether it is to see family or to explore the tropical sites the world has to offer with close friends.
Assistant Director of Graduate Student Experiences
Gillian is an assistant director of graduate student experiences, working specifically with the finance and real estate programs. She joined Robinson in 2015 after working for Chick-fil-A and Northwestern Mutual. An Atlanta native, Gillian completed her bachelor’s degree in family financial planning at the University of Georgia and MBA at Georgia State University. Gillian truly understands the needs of a Robinson student, having filled those shoes herself as both a full-time graduate student before pivoting to full-time employee balancing work and school. She is incredibly resourceful by aligning the appropriate resources and opportunities to maximize execution of any idea, event or new endeavor. In her spare time, Gillian enjoys traveling to colder locales, exploring Atlanta with her pup, Scout, and volunteering with the Junior League of Athens.
Assistant Director of Graduate Student Experiences
Linda is an assistant director of graduate student experience, serving three applied mathematical graduate student programs. She joined the Robinson Graduate Student Experience team in 2017 after serving nearly 15 years on various teams at a Fortune 10 healthcare company. Linda is a servant-leader with expertise in talent acquisition program and people development, corporate universities, and coaching. She is also a credentialed Judgement Index Practitioner. Her warm style of engagement, coupled with her unique blend of relational, tactical, and strategic capabilities, enables her to quickly identify the individual, group, and organizational needs as well as close gaps, and move forward what matters most. Linda has a passion for cross-functional collaboration, training and development, and delivering results that exceed stakeholder expectations. Initially from Northern, KY, Linda pursued her undergraduate degree in business administration at Northern Kentucky University before relocating to Atlanta, GA. Outside of Robinson, Linda enjoys extending hospitality to others, utilizing her culinary skills, hiking, teaching, reading, and writing.
Student Affairs Coordinator
Chancé is the student affairs coordinator for Robinson & Onboarding. She started her career in higher education at the Citadel Military College in South Carolina before joining Georgia State in 2018. Before higher education, she spent four years working with colleges for off-campus conferences and events. Chancé earned a B.S. in business administration and hospitality & tourism management at the College of Charleston, and she is currently working on earning her MBA here at Robinson. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts, aggressive thrift-shopping, and buying an irresponsible amount of house plants.
Assistant Director of Graduate Student Experiences
Kumar is an assistant director of graduate student experiences. He has worked closely with computer information systems graduate students at Robinson since May 2015. Prior to joining Robinson, he held various senior positions in banking and the IT industry for more than 30 years in different parts of the world. Kumar's expertise is in the areas of mentoring and career counseling in banking operations and IT management. Kumar's major interest is encouraging students to learn, innovate, and excel with social consciousness. Kumar has a master's degree in economics from the University of Madras, Chennai, India, and an MBA from the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, MO. Kumar has been a Georgia resident since 2005, and before that he lived in Chicago for 7 years. During his spare time, Kumar writes short stories and does unbiased political and economic analyses. Political satire and cartoons are his favorites. He also assists his friends and family members with resume writing and job hunting. Other loves include watching Satyajit Ray movies and reading Shakespearian drama. Some of his favorite movies are The Missing with Jack Lemmon Starrer and Life is Beautiful. Kumar likes to be creative in whatever he does.
Assistant Director of Graduate Student Experiences
Charlene is an assistant director of graduate student experiences and joined the Graduate Recruitment and Student Services team in 2014. She has been a Georgia State employee since 2008. Charlene has a wealth of experience in academic advising, admissions/recruitment, program management and student services with undergraduates and graduate students. Overall, she has more than 20 years' experience in higher education at public and private institutions. Originally from Springfield, OH, Charlene completed her undergraduate degree in communications at the University of Cincinnati and master's in higher education administration at Indiana State University. In her free time, she enjoys water sports/activities, volunteering within the community with her sorority, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
