Rise to your full potential. Robinson’s Immersive Sophomore Experience (RISE) provides an opportunity for sophomore-level business majors to accelerate their careers. Participants will be immersed in real-world business environments and position themselves for success through professional assessments, individual coaching sessions, mentoring, networking events and speaker series.
All RISE students will take BUSA 2300 – Personal and Career Development. During this three-credit-hour course, students will explore their interests, values, and leadership behaviors, with the ultimate goal of launching and sustaining productive careers. Through intense class engagement as well as assessments that foster self-awareness, students will catapult themselves along the path of lifelong learning and self-actualization.
“BUSA 2300 is one of the most valuable courses I’ve taken at Robinson or arguably Georgia State as a whole. I learned how to personalize my goals.”
- Justice Theodros
“During the class, I discovered my own definition of success. For me, that means pursuing a career I enjoy.”
- Carlos Ojeda
We deeply appreciate the support from our founding sponsor, Georgia's Own Credit Union.
As a corporate partner in the RISE program, you will play a huge part in shaping the future of business by preparing motivated sophomore-level business majors for their transition to the workforce through internship opportunities, mentoring, corporate site visits, speaker sessions and more. You will build relationships with the next generation of talent and possibly fill critical positions at your own organization. Of equal importance, you will diversify the talent pool by offering students from a variety of backgrounds the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and engage in innovative thinking, and make a positive mark on a group of passionate and curious minds.
