WomenLead Scholar Awards
Thanks to the generosity of our community of supporters, WomenLead is thrilled to provide the opportunity for our students to apply for one of several named endowed scholar awards. These are awarded every fall and spring semester to high-achieving WomenLead students with demonstrated financial need (FAFSA completion required).
To date, WomenLead has established the following named endowed student scholar awards:
American Family Insurance WomenLead Scholarship
Established in 2020 by American Family Insurance as part of its commitment to inspiring, protecting and restoring dreams – but most of all, to equality. Equality gives every person the chance to succeed—to dream fearlessly—and American Family Insurance is committed to making those dreams possible. This scholarship provides financial support to undergraduate students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business who have participated in the WomenLead program.
Criteria
- Undergraduate student(s) who have participated in WomenLead
- Have a 3.3 GPA
- Have demonstrated financial need

Cassi Makani Wimmingham Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2016 by Beth Johnston in memory of her niece, to provide the opportunity for other young women to realize their full potential. This scholarship provides financial support to undergraduate students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business who have participated in the WomenLead program.
Criteria
- Undergraduate student(s) who are currently enrolled in WomenLead
- Have a 3.0 GPA
- Have demonstrated financial need

Cochran/Schachter WomenLead Scholarship
Established in 2020 by GSU alumna Delia Cochran to honor her friend and former colleague, Georgia State alumna Sharon Schachter. This scholarship provides financial support to undergraduate students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business who have participated in the WomenLead program.
Criteria
- Undergraduate student(s) who have participated in WomenLead
- Have a 3.0 GPA
- Have demonstrated financial need

Dugald Hudson and Nancy Mansfield WomenLead Honors Scholarship
Established by Nancy R. Mansfield, director of WomenLead, in honor of her colleague and mentor, Dr. Dugald Hudson, a long-time legal studies faculty member in the Robinson College of Business. This scholarship provides financial support to Honors College students who have participated in the WomenLead program.
Criteria
- Honors College students who have participated n WomenLead
- Have a 3.3 GPA
- Have demonstrated financial need

Enid Draluck WomenLead Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2019 by Merle Hoch, in honor of her niece Enid Draluck’s 60th birthday. Merle wishes for the Enid Draluck WomenLead Endowed Scholarship to positively impact the lives of deserving students pursuing a business degree and enrolled in the WomenLead program. This scholarship provides financial support to undergraduate students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business who have participated in the WomenLead program.
Criteria
- Undergraduate student(s) who have participated in WomenLead
- Have a 3.0 GPA
- Have demonstrated financial need
- Pursuing a degree in business

Harry and Mary Meinhardt WomenLead Scholarship
Established in 2019 by Erika Meinhardt in honor of her parents and their commitment to providing an education not only for their children but for many others through their lifetime of giving. This scholarship provides financial support to undergraduate students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business who have participated in the WomenLead program.
Criteria
- Undergraduate student(s) who have participated in WomenLead
- Have a 3.3 GPA
- Have demonstrated financial need

Karen L. Linhart Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2019 by Karen Linhart as a way of giving back by providing financial aid to the next generation of students that desire a college education and do not have the financial resources to achieve their goals. This scholarship provides financial support to undergraduate students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business who have participated in the WomenLead program, with preference given to students pursuing a STEM-related major who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Criteria
- Undergraduate student(s) who have participated in WomenLead
- Have a 3.3 GPA
- Have demonstrated financial need.
- Preference will be given to students pursuing a STEM-related major and are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Pioneer Founders and Leaders Scholarship
Established in 2018 by Beverley Clark to honor the early faculty of Robinson College, including her late father, Stuart Schwarzschild, Ph.D. This scholarship provides financial support to undergraduate students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business who have participated in the WomenLead program, with preference given to students majoring in actuarial science, risk management and insurance, finance, or computer information systems.
Criteria
- Undergraduate student(s) who have participated in WomenLead
- Have a demonstrated financial need
- Preference given to students majoring in actuarial science, risk management and insurance, finance, or computer information systems.

Dr. Risa Palm WomenLead Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2019 by the Women’s Philanthropy Network to honor Dr. Risa Palm’s distinguished service as Provost of Georgia State University. This scholarship provides financial support to undergraduate students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business who have participated in the WomenLead program.
Criteria
- Undergraduate student(s) who have participated in WomenLead
- Have a 3.3 GPA
- Have demonstrated financial need
*Choose Dr. Risa Palm WomenLead Endowed Scholarship - 021341 as the Gift Designation
The Women’s Philanthropy Network generously funds $1,000 each Spring and Fall semester to a selected WomenLead student with a 3.3 GPA or higher.

As a graduate of the inaugural WomenLead cohort in 2015, Victoria Wallace established this scholarship in honor of Nancy Mansfield, the first director of the WomenLead program, and all WomenLead Alumni. It is given to encourage and inspire other alumni to give back.
It is preferred that the recipient(s) of the award(s) meet the following criteria:
- Be a graduate or undergraduate student at Georgia State University
- Maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Have completed or be enrolled in a WomenLead course
- Have confirmed involvement in community service, clubs or activities
