WomenLead Courses
At the heart of the WomenLead Program is the three-credit elective WomenLead course:
- Undergraduates: Course sections are available to all Georgia State University Atlanta campus students of all majors who have completed 30 overall credit hours and have an overall 3.0 GPA or higher. Students can register in PAWS. Classes are capped at 25 students, so early registration is recommended.
- Graduate Students: WomenLead Graduate is available to all students enrolled in a master’s or PhD program. WomenLead in Law is available to students enrolled in GSU's College of Law. Students can register in PAWS. Classes are capped at 25 students, so early registration is recommended.
Students can choose one of several WomenLead course sections sharing a common syllabus; students from all sections participate in the same WomenLead signature events. Classes are taught Tuesdays from 4:30-7PM in person. Students who complete the course become alumni of the WomenLead program.
WomenLead sections are taught by a diverse group of faculty who bring their own areas of expertise to the classroom while following the WomenLead program syllabus, course plan, common book, and Signature Event schedule.
Each course section provides a unique opportunity to explore and develop practical skills, tools and solutions for effective leadership. Students learn beyond the classroom and prepare for success and leadership across all sectors of the economy through confidence-building experiences, panel discussions, and interaction with community leaders.

Course sections are:
- Arts
- Business
- Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- Policy and Politics
- Science
- Sports
- Technology
- Graduate
- Law
